She wasted what seems like a millennium of her life,
The emptiness that keeps digging deeper;
Her mind engulfed in constant strife,
When her heart was supposed to flutter;
As her eyes meet the enticing rays of the sunset,
Or while counting the shimmering stars;
But no, she stood still: overwhelmed with regret,
Still naive to comprehend the depth of scars;
Didn’t know what it was or why,
She was just freefalling from the grey sky;
It was so hard to breathe,
She didn’t want to drown underneath;
Some say it’s just a phase that’ll pass,
Others say, “You’re overthinking, go find a companion.”
Yet somehow it feels like walking on shattered glass-
Long before she knew the meaning, she’d already embraced depression!
